Knowing when to let go may be the toughest lesson for the founder of any organization. For Deborah Salzer, though, letting go of the management of The Playwrights Project after more than 20 years was a no-brainer.

    POP MUSIC CRITIC

    Like Frank Sinatra and Pablo Picasso before him, Ike Turner was a great artist and a deeply flawed human being. His musical genius, which influenced everyone from Elvis Presley to Mick Jagger to Jimi Hendrix, was often overshadowed by the widely publicized accounts of Turner's abusive treatment of his second wife and musical partner, vocal dynamo Tina.
